Tracey attended Dentistry @No3 and initially met with our Smile Advisor Leigh.

She explained her concerns about multiple loose teeth and an upper denture which was almost un-wearable.

She was unhappy with her smile – it was massively affecting her confidence and she felt that she could not go out and socialise any more.

Tracey’s Treatment

Tracey had been considering more complex treatment for years, but was stuck in a cycle of having her teeth patched up and continually having teeth added to the loose upper denture. As well as restoring oral health and function, Tracey was keen to have a great smile again.

Tracey saw our dentist Ali for a full clinical assessment to check her general oral health, take full mouth radiographs, a 3D CT scan of the bone and digital intra-oral scans of the remaining teeth and gums. Ali was then able to discuss the case easily with the patient using visual aids, helping the patient understand what treatment was needed and why. A diagnosis and personalised treatment plan was then developed for Tracey.

For this specific case we extracted the teeth, immediately fitted healing dentures then proceeded with two implants in the lower jaw. The teeth were then restored with bespoke 3D dentures.

The treatment began with our lab making immediate 3D healing dentures. These were made from the initial assessment intra-oral digital scans. This enabled us to go straight into treatment at the second visit where we extracted all of the remaining teeth and transitioned Tracey into immediate healing dentures.

Following a short period of healing, two dental implants were placed in the lower jaw. The healing dentures were relined to improve comfort and fit whilst the mouth healed and the tissues settled.

After a further 12 weeks and the integration of the two dental implants, the implants were solid and ready to be used to support the lower denture.

Ali spent four visits recording all of the necessary information for Tracey’s new teeth. The stages involved were: primary impressions, secondary impressions and recording of the bite, try-in to check the bite and appearance of the teeth, and finally the fit. The treatment from start to finish took around six months.

Wow ......... 😳Had my first appointment yesterday with kirsty and Irene , for a scale and polish .This procedure in the past has been an absolute nightmare for me , always needed to be numbed for this an still it would be agony !! 😢 because of severe sensitivity all over ......I'am total shocked that they got round my whole mouth without me jumping out there seat at any point ! Not 1 injection NEEDED for this , an completely NO pain at all !!!!! Absolutely excellent.I have avoided the dentist for over 15 years as I was terrified after a horrible experience when I was younger. Eventually after having some pain that I couldn’t ignore any longer I made an appointment with Dentistry No3.Can genuinely say these guys have absolutely changed my outlook. Niall (dentist) and Laura hygienist) have both gone above and beyond to help me. They’re been so reassuring and let me take things at my own pace. Even during my panicking, both of them and their dental nurses made me feel safe and in control of what was happening.I LOVE how my teeth feel and look now, and feel so much more confident in attending appointments. Have had a great experience at this practice. I had a broken tooth that I thought couldn’t be salvaged. Ali saved the tooth and replaced an old, ill fitting crown next to it. It looks fantastic. Am really pleased. Care has been first rate.The team have been really flexible when booking me in too, to accommodate my difficult working hours. Can’t thank them enough.

Incredible! I cannot thank Rebecca and the team at Dentistry @ no3 enough! I have come to the end of my smile journey with Ali. I arrived as a nervous patient who had lived for years with low self esteem as a result of my teeth. I can honestly say that Ali has changed all of this for me, I love my new teeth/smile I no longer fear the dentist and I have found my confidence again, I no longer try to cover my mouth when I talk. I shared with Ali that in my original wedding pictures I was embarrassed to smile, I am returning to my wedding venue this year in Florida to celebrate my 10th wedding anniversary and I now plan to recreate some of our pictures as I can now smile at my husband with out embarrassment. I went to Dentistry @ No 3 as I had broken a crown. My own dentist told me he was certain I had 3 broken teeth, he didn't know what was keeping them in and he wasn't willing to tackle the work required. I was extremely worried, but Ali put me totally at ease and explained all my options including the possible need for implants. After thorough, pain free, investigation Ali confirmed I did not need implants, but my old, ill-fitting crowns needed to be replaced and the broken crown was root treated. The work is now complete and I couldn't be happier. My crowns are natural looking and a great colour match. Ali is easily the best dentist I have ever been to. It helps that he explains what he's going to do, so no surprises - and all totally pain free! All the staff are amazing and I would highly recommend Dentistry @ No 3.

My experience with Dentistry @ no.3 has been amazing from start to finish. From my initial consultation with Leigh, where we looked at all of my different options for my desired result, to the finished dental treatment by Rebecca. Rebecca put me at ease right away and was so friendly all the way through my treatment. She is a perfectionist and my teeth look better than I could have imagined. I had a course of Invisalign, followed by the replacement of silver fillings, whitening and composite bonding. My teeth look so natural. I can’t stop smiling and feel so much more confident. The girls at the front desk and of the dental nurses were all so welcoming and professional. I recommend Dentistry @ no.3 to everyone! First class service and all round experience.

I met Leigh initially for a consultation, who then matched me up with my Dentist Rebecca, a treatment plan was discussed & completed.Rebecca was very patient & excellent at her job. She carried out the plan, over a period of time & on completion I am delighted with the outcome.I now use the annual dental plan, getting checkups twice a year & visiting the hygienist every 3 months.I feel like smiling all the time, previously I was so self conscious about my teeth. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dentistry No.3 to anyone. I have recently completed treatment on my teeth with Invisalign to straighten and align my top and bottom teeth. Finished off with composite edge bonding. Everything is so thorough and every appointment felt like a spa visit rather than a dentist appointment!I also can't sing Rebecca's praises highly enough. She is so personable with an incredibly calming manner and gentle approach to practice. I always felt at ease and knew exactly what to expect at each appointment. Everything was always explained to me before and during any work being done.I've enjoyed this journey so much that I was sad it was over! So much so that I have decided to transfer my core dental health over to Dentistry No3 as well as my two children through their dental plan.

I've been to dentists over the years and although they have been ok , I wasn't really particularly impressed or indeed selective about one dentist or another ... That is until I started as a patient at Dentistry @ No 3 , courteous , polite , they listen to what you actually want , even as bespoke as it might be, nothing is too much of a problem to them. Niall Henderson is really calming and explains the process. Pain free too , I have very sensitive areas in my mouth and I can't stand pain . This is the only dental practice where , whilst I was having fillings done etc and must have been on the chair for almost an hour or so , I was relaxed, so much so that I woke my self from a micro nap with a snore whilst the dentist was at work in my mouth ... embarrassingly true !! I am very happy with the way they operate and would recommend them to anyone who really cares about their smile as I do . I am very very fussy where dental work is concerned . My review is based on dental implants. I had an aging Maryland dental bridge consisting of x2 front teeth, and it was beginning to feel less secure with a worry of potential breakage. The bridge had already exceeded the life expectancy by nearly a decade, and I had some gum receding around one of the adjacent teeth of which the bridge was attached, so I was considering dental implants as a long-lasting solution.I already knew these had a high cost, so a little homework was required beforehand to ensure the investment was sound. I was already familiar with Dentistry No.3 due to a dental-cautious partner who had visited them previously and spoke highly of the experience.Although Dentistry No.3 was the furthest practice from my home, I ended up choosing them to carry out the work. There were several reasons for this. Primarily they were the first dentist out there I had contacted during the aftermath of Covid who were willing to get me in to help alleviate severe abscess pain, when most other dentists locally were still refusing to see people, leaving others in severe pain for an undetermined period. Among them were dental surgeries that were offering the dental implants I was initially considering, and because of the uncertainty around further restrictions, I did not want to undergo this kind of a procedure with a surgery that could steer towards imminent delays. Dentistry No.3 were far more prompt in that regard. The setting is very comfortable and the staff and dentists themselves all very friendly, which can be a stark parallel to many NHS dental surgeries out there, unfortunately. I had things, even little things identified during my implant appointments (that booked just for the implants) that were either missed or overlooked during full routine checks from my regular NHS dentist. I'm not sure if that speaks of the high attentiveness of the dentists at Dentistry no.3 or the inattentiveness of the NHS dentists, but it certainly provides reassurances that you're in great hands. They also offer a lifetime guarantee with their dental implants for extra peace of mind.The implant procedure itself, wasn’t one that was rushed. All possibilities were explored including gum grafts. I received a bone graft prior to the implant fitting, along with temporary bridges and gum shaping all carried out to ensure that the implants were the best that they could be. It was a procedure that was carried out delicately, but very precisely, and I was very happy with the end results.Thanks to Leigh, Ally and the rest of the team at Dentistry No.3. for making this a surprisingly comfortable experience

I can’t recommend this practice enough, hands down the best Dentist I’ve ever visited! Alisdair made me feel confident about the treatment and relaxed, and I usually feel very anxious in the chair! Updated - visited Shereen & Irene today for a Hygiene appointment and I'm again really pleased with both the treatment and results. Shereen was excellent and gave great advice, and I loved the charity donation made on my behalf - booked my next appointment already.Updated Jan ‘22 - just had my dental implant completed and so happy with it! Ali is a total perfectionist and guided and reassured me throughout the process, which seemed daunting at first but I needn’t have worried. The lab matched the new implant to my teeth perfectly and it was painless throughout, which is incredible. The team are all excellent, I wish I’d had it done years ago. Having a smile like Shrek, I thought, "what's the worst that can happen?" so I went along to see Dr Ali and young Natalie and told them, "I want a smile like hers" pointing to Mrs C who has teeth like you'd see in an Oral B toothbrush advert. I'd expected laughter, but no, just reassurance and an Invisalign plan. So over the following couple of months things started looking pretty good: I got really quite positive during the whitening stage. Then Doc Ali (the smile whisperer) started the final stages of filing down the fangs and adding composite to the thread bare incisors until finally, young Natalie handed me a mirror and asked; pleased? I wasn't pleased, I was blinking ecstatic; almost crashed the car twice on the way home smiling at myself in themirror!! I've also discovered, if you smile at people, they smile back, especially Mrs C; what's not to like?!
